The Gmina Krzeszowice is a town in the powiat Krakowski of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city ​​of the same name with more than 10,000 inhabitants. This had the status of a state-recognized health resort.

The municipality is located in southeastern Poland, about 14 kilometers northwest of the city of Krakow . The state border with Slovakia runs 60 kilometers south.

history

From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kraków Voivodeship .

In 2008 the community was portrayed together with 19 European communities in the Spanish documentary “Pueblos de Europa” (European communities) .
