The Gmina Krzeszowice is a town in the powiat Krakowski of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with more than 10,000 inhabitants. This had the status of a state-recognized health resort.
geography
The municipality is located in southeastern Poland, about 14 kilometers northwest of the city of Krakow . The state border with Slovakia runs 60 kilometers south.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kraków Voivodeship .
In 2008 the community was portrayed together with 19 European communities in the Spanish documentary “Pueblos de Europa” (European communities) .

traffic
The national road DK79 runs from west to east through the municipality and its main town , which leads from Chrzanów in 15 kilometers east to DK7 and to Krakow. The A4 motorway can be reached via the village of Rudno .
Krzeszowice is located on the Dąbrowa Górnicza Ząbkowice – Kraków railway line .
The nearest international airport is Kraków-Balice , 14 kilometers away.
