The Postal Ebersberg is an Outbound medieval hilltop castle at 365  m above sea level. NN on the Ebersberg about 600 meters east-northeast of Zell am Ebersberg , a district of the municipality of Knetzgau in the Haßberge district in Bavaria .

The bishopric of Bamberg is named as the owner of the castle mentioned in 1011 . Like Ebersberg Castle on the Schlossberg, this castle was destroyed in the course of the Peasants 'War in 1525 and in the Thirty Years' War in 1643–44 .

A moat has been preserved from the former castle complex .
