The Burgstall Tretzendorf is a late medieval moated castle in the castle pond next to the town hall in Tretzendorf , a district of the municipality of Oberaurach in the Haßberge district in Bavaria .

The castle mentioned in 1279, whose owner was Elisabeth (a) von Pünzendorf and who bequeathed the castle and all associated goods to the Katharinenspital in Bamberg that same year in return for reception and care . On September 7, 1303, the donation was repeated by her, her sons Heinrich and Kuno were sealed as witnesses. As early as 1288, the town of Tretzendorf and the associated tithe had been given to the Katharinenhospital as a fief by the former Bamberg Bishop Manegold of Neuchâtel (1285/86). In the 15th century, the hospital keepers are named as the owners of the Hofstätte am See .

The castle was laid down in 1767 at the latest.

Small remains of the former castle complex are still preserved in the castle pond. The medieval Burgstall is a ground monument according to the Bavarian Monument List , which was created on the basis of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973.
