The Postal Tännesberg is a Outbound hilltop castle on the 692 meter high Schlossberg of market Tännesberg in Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria .
The castle was built in the 12th century by the Lords of Paulsdorf and sold to the Count Palatine Ruprecht I and Ruprecht II between 1394 and 1397 . The castle was destroyed in the Thirty Years War . The outlines of the former castle complex on the Schlossberg can still be seen today.
