CIB Black Ball Squash Open 2018

The CIB Black Ball Squash Open 2018 took place from December 3rd to 9th, 2018 in Cairo , Egypt . The men's squash tournament, which was part of the tournament calendar for the first time, was part of the PSA World Tour 2018/19 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Platinum category .

In the purely Egyptian final, Karim Abdel Gawad , who was seeded in seventh place and who defeated world number leader Mohamed Elshorbagy in the quarter-finals without losing a set, beat Ali Farag , who was seeded in second position, 11: 6, 14:12, 7:11 and 11: 8 through.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 48 players. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Shehab Essam and Shady El Sherbiny a spot in the main draw.
