The Cadre-71/2 World Cup 1931 was the second Cadre 71/2 World Championship. The tournament took place in Paris from June 18 to 23, 1931 . It was the second Cadre 71/2 World Championship in France.
history
The Egyptian Edmond Soussa confidently defended his world championship title won last year in Paris. The performances of the actors were not very good this year either. In the German billiard newspaper it was even written that this cadre game is too difficult. The author reported that there is only one real world championship anyway and that in Cadre 45/2. The participating players were not of this opinion.
Tournament mode
It was played in the elimination round and in the final round in the round robin system up to 300 points. The top four in each group qualified for the finals. The points against the eliminated participants were not carried over to the final round. In the event of a tie in the MPs, the following order is taken:
MP = match points
GD = general average
HS = maximum series

It was held annually until the Second World War, after that it was held irregularly. From 1946 to 1959 there was no World Cup.
The 2000 World Cup will be the last due to the decreased interest in the game and Frédéric Caudron will be the last world champion in this discipline.
