history

The outstanding Dieter Müller won his third world title in his hometown. After two successes in the pentathlon, it worked for the first time in his parade discipline Cadre 71/2. The title was already certain before the last round. The Belgian Léo Corin won the last game against Müller with 300: 208 in five shots and finished second. The defending champion Francis Connesson from France secured third place . Müller equalized the world record in the best individual average (BED) with 300.00 and just missed the world record in the then still rated extended series (HS), held by Jean Marty with 344 . The second German participant Dieter Wirtz from Düsseldorf who came in seventh place also showed good performances.
