The Cadre-71/2 World Cup 1938 was the ninth Cadre 71/2 World Championship. The tournament took place in Lyon from March 17th to 20th, 1938 . It was the seventh Cadre 71/2 World Championship in France.

history

The series champion of the last few years, Gustave van Belle , had to admit defeat in 1938 after a playoff. The Frenchman Constant Côte secured the title for the first time after two second and two third places. In the final round, Côte only lost to his compatriot Louis Chassereau. Van Belle also lost to Côte in the finals with 187: 300 in 17 games. Thus the Frenchman was a deserved winner of this 9th Cadre 71/2 World Championship.

Tournament mode

A final round in the round robin system up to 300 points was played. In the event of a tie in the MP, except for first and second places, the following order will be scored:

  1. MP = match points
  2. GD = general average
  3. HS = maximum series
