Walter Joachim (born September 21, 1912 , † September 8, 1976 in Berlin ) was a German carom player and multiple world champion.

Career

His specialty disciplines were the free game and the cadre . He also tried his hand at three cushion , but was unable to perform as required. In 1933 he took part in the German three-cushion championships in Berlin for the first time, but only finished sixth. In the same year he won his first gold medal in the free game at the World Championships in Lille, France, and a year later in Geneva gold in Cadre 45/1. Joachim won his only medal in Cadre 45/2 in 1934 in Groningen behind the Belgian Gustave van Belle and Jean Albert from France.
