The free game world championship in 1953 was the 15th UIFAB world championship in the free game. The tournament took place from July 28th to August 1st in Vigo , Spain.

history

The Argentine Pedro Leopoldo Carrera won his fourth consecutive world title in a number of disciplines within two years. In Vigo he remained unbeaten in the free game and was again deserved world champion. Vigo organized this world championship not only because of its good relations with Argentina, but also in honor of Carrera. Carrera's birthplace is Vigo. For the fifth time, Joaquin Domingo finished second in the free game. Behind third-placed Clément van Hassel, Siegfried Spielmann from Düsseldorf took a very good fourth place in his first world championship.

Tournament mode

Round robin mode was played with nine participants. In the event of a tie, the following order will be applied:

  3. HS = maximum series
