Juan Butrón (born November 30, 1900 in Bilbao , † November 1992 ) was a Spanish carom player and multiple world champion.

Career

Born in Bilbao, Butrón began playing carom at an early age. His favorite disciplines were the free game and the cadre . He was multiple Spanish champion and took part in a world championship (free game) for the first time in 1930, which he finished with a fourth place. Two years later he won his first of three gold medals in this discipline. At the time, he also set his world record in the free game with 500 points in one shot.

In total, he took part in 14 world championships and five European championships in the free game and cadre. At the EM, however, he can never get past eighth place.
