The Cadre 45/1 World Championship in 1937 was the eleventh Cadre 45/1 UIFAB World Championship, which was held until 1938 in Cadre 45/1 and from 1967 in Cadre 47/1. The tournament took place from January 13th to 17th, 1937 in the Mediterranean metropolis of Marseille in the south of France . It was the second Cadre 47/1 World Championship in Marseille.

history

Since René Gabriëls and Constant Côte both had 14: 2 match points at the end of the tournament, the rules of the time required a game of play for the title. The French won this with 300: 290. The little consolation for Gabriëls was his good performance. He held all tournament records. His final series against the third Jean Albert was strong . With a deficit of 137: 152, he finished the match with a 163 series.

Tournament mode

A final round in the round robin system up to 300 points was played. In the event of a tie in the MPs, the following order is taken:

  1. MP = match points
  2. GD = general average
  3. HS = maximum series
