The Cadre 45/1 World Championship in 1929 was the third Cadre 45/1 UIFAB World Championship, which was held until 1938 in Cadre 45/1 and from 1967 in Cadre 47/1. The tournament took place in New York City from May 6 to May 12, 1929 . It was the first Cadre 45/1 World Championship in the United States of America.

The Egyptian Edmond Soussa was able to defend his Vichy title in New York City . But that only succeeded in a decisive match against the Belgian Théo Moons . The American Francis S. Appleby improved the amateur world record in the best individual average to 21.42 .
