Captain America is a feature film directed by Albert Pyun, starring Matt Salinger in the lead role of Steve Rogers / Captain America. Menahem Golan produced the film for 21st Century. It had its cinema premiere on December 14, 1990 in the United Kingdom . In Germany it appeared on video on February 27, 1991.
The protagonist of the film is the eponymous superhero from the Timely Comics publishing house, which later became the Marvel comic book publisher . The superhero wears a superhero suit in the colors of the flag of the USA. Jack Kirby and Joe Simon invented it . In 1941, the first comic book featuring the exploits of Captain America was published.
On April 26, 2019, the film was shown as part of the Tele-5 series The Worst Films of All Time .

The year is 1944 - Steve Rogers is desperate because he failed the physical entrance exam for the Army. Out of desperation, Steve volunteers for an extremely secret military experimentation program by the US government called Operation Rebirth. Its powers are strengthened by a miracle serum. As "Captain America" he parachutes into enemy territory. But in action, he faces a genetic super human, the Red Skull, the ultimate agent of the Nazis and also a product of the super soldier serum.
