CPL auction
The Caribbean Premier League Auction took place on February 11, 2016 in Barbados. In contrast to other sports, there is no league where you can be promoted or relegated. Every season starts anew. For this purpose, the franchises can sign players before the league starts. From this year on, the teams were allowed to sign 3 players before the auction. These are mostly top players. Each team consists of 17 players. Each team is allowed to spend US $ 780,000 on all players on the team. In March it was announced that the West Indies would complete a test series against India during the season . Since this termination was foreseeable, 15 players who are contractually intended for the tests were excluded from the auction.
