Carl-Hermann Risse

Carl-Hermann Risse (* around 1942 in Dresden ) is a German actor and director. From 1995 to 2007 he was professor of directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Life

Risse completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and then studied from 1962 to 1964 at the Dresden Drama Studio. After completing his studies, the first engagements followed at the Altmark Theater in Stendal and at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin . Shortly afterwards he began his 18-year career at the Berliner Volksbühne .

In 1981 Risse directed for the first time in Berlin. Starting in 1984, Risse was senior director at the Theater der Freunde in Berlin for five years . Since 1990 he has worked as a freelance director and actor. He was active in performances at the Deutsches Theater Berlin , the Maxim-Gorki-Theater and at the theaters in Bremen , Graz , Esslingen am Neckar , Dessau , Heilbronn , Potsdam and in Växjö , Sweden . From 1995 to 2007 Risse was Professor of Drama Directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin . In addition to this activity, Risse also worked as an actor in film and television productions from the 1970s. Between 1975 and 1999 he had various roles in the TV series Polizeiruf 110 .

During the GDR era, he also worked briefly as a voice actor for DEFA . His dubbed roles included the role of the Tsar's son in The Beautiful Varvara 1970. Film All My Sons from 1948.
