Carlos Enrique Samaniego López

Carlos Enrique Samaniego López (born October 8, 1973 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Mexico City .

Life

Carlos Enrique Samaniego López received on 4 January 2001, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He graduated from the Pontifical University of Mexico with a degree in canon law and a degree in dogmatics from the Pontifical Gregorian University .

Samaniego López then worked as a trainer at the seminary , as an interrogation judge at the church court of the Archdiocese of Tlalnepantla, as well as diocesan responsible for church education and as prefect of studies at the seminary. Most recently he was a member of the Council of Priests and the College of Consultors as well as defender of marriage and pastor of the parish of San Francisco de Asís .

On 16 February 2019 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Cillium and auxiliary bishop in Mexico City. The Archbishop of Mexico City, Carlos Cardinal Aguiar Retes , donated him and Salvador González Morales the episcopal ordination on March 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico , Archbishop Franco Coppola , and the Auxiliary Bishop in Mexico City, Andrés Vargas Peña .
