Carol Potter
Carol Elizabeth Potter (born May 21, 1948 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress , best known for her role as Cindy Walsh in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210 .
Life
After attending high school in Tenafly , New Jersey , Carol Potter graduated from Radcliffe College in Massachusetts . In 1977 she made her Broadway debut in Gemini , a play by Albert Innaurato that became the fifth longest-performing non-musical in Broadway history .
Carol Potter received her first role on television in 1981 in the series Today's FBI . In 1985 she married the screenwriter Spencer Eastman, with whom she has a son. Her first husband died of lung cancer in 1988. In 1990 she married the actor Jeffry Josephson.
At the same time started the youth series Beverly Hills, 90210 , in which she played the role of Cindy Walsh, the mother of the two protagonists Brenda and Brandon Walsh, played by Shannen Doherty and Jason Priestley . Carol Potter appeared in five seasons from 1990 to 1995. In addition to this role, she had numerous guest appearances in various television productions.
