history
In the 1950s and 1960s, Scaglietti manufactured numerous aluminum bodies, mainly for Ferrari . In 1955, the film director Roberto Rossellini had the Spider body of his Ferrari 375 Mille Miglia converted by Scaglietti into an extraordinary coupé . The vehicle is currently in the collection of former Microsoft boss Jon Shirley . Among other things, Scaglietti also manufactured the body of the BMW 3200 Michelotti Vignale , and the assembly of the vehicles was carried out by Carrozzeria Vignale, based in Turin at the time .
The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti from 2004, designed by Pininfarina , was given the suffix "Scaglietti" in honor of Sergio Scaglietti .
