The Channel VAS Championships at St George's Hill 2018 took place October 16-21, 2018 in Weybridge , England , UK . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2018/19 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Gold category .
Last year's winner was Mohamed Elshorbagy , who started again in the top position, but was eliminated in the round of 16 against Joel Makin . The winner was Tarek Momen , who beat Ali Farag in the final with 8:11, 11: 8, 7:11, 11: 5 and 11: 9.
The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 24 players. The eight best players were seeded and given a bye in the first round. Per Wildcard got Charlie Lee a spot in the main draw.
At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 106,000.
