Charity Wakefield
Charity Rose Wakefield (born September 18, 1980 in Sussex ) is an English actress .
Life
Wakefield was born in Sussex, England . At the age of a few months she moved with her mother Carlone to Villajoyosa , a small village near Alicante in Catalonia ( Spain ). When Charity was four, they both moved back to East Sussex, England. She has a half-sister named Olivia who is seven years her junior; her maternal grandfather is actor James Hayter .
Wakefield attended Bexhill College and studied acting at the Oxford School of Drama . Charity plays the violin and sings soprano .
Wakefield made her first film appearance in 2004 in (Past Present Future) Imperfect . In 2007 she played Rapunzel , a young tennis star, in a BBC One fairy tale production . She was also seen in Casualty 1907 on BBC One in 2007 .
In 2005, Wakefield starred in Yesterday Was a Weird Day , a play about the terrorist attacks on July 7, 2005 in London , as Constance in The Three Musketeers at Bristol Old Vic and Elaine in a theatrical adaptation of The Graduation at New Vic Theater . She also played the role of Susan in Baby with the Bathwater at the Old Red Lion Theater .
In 2008 Wakefield starred in W. Somerset Maugham 's The Circle at the Chichester Festival Theater and worked for the BBC in the pilot for the comedy series Freddi . She had another appearance in the Channel 4 drama Any Human Heart and a leading role in the British film noir Scar tissue . In 2012 she starred in Mockingbird Lane , an NBC remake of The Munsters .
In 2015 she played Mary Boleyn in the Wolf Hall miniseries on BBC Two . In the StarzPlay series The Great with Elle Fanning as Catherine II , she played Georgina Dymova, Peter III's lover.
