Therefore, Tom often includes her in his investigations. She likes to cook and experiment, but not exactly to Tom's taste, which is why he often eats out or prefers the company canteen.
Cully is the already grown up daughter of Tom and Joyce in the series. She owes her name to the Swiss community of Cully , where she was conceived during her parents' honeymoon. She is an actress, waiting for the breakthrough, and making occasional appearances in Midsomer. At the beginning of the series, she attended the University of Cambridge and went out there with a student named Nico; she later flirted with her father's assistants Gavin Troy and Daniel Scott. In seasons 7 and 8 he was replaced by John Hopkins as DS Dan Scott. The title melody, composed by Jim Parker , is a waltz theme in C minor and the main instrument is a theremin . Since the middle of the 20th century, this was often used in film music to depict supernatural or bizarre events.

controversy

On March 15, 2011, producer Brian True-May was dismissed from the production company All3Media after some of his statements in an interview were recorded as racist . True-May had pointed out the fact that the rural England series did not feature any of the ethnic minorities now living in England and that he believed that was one of the reasons for the series' success. After an official apology, True-May was reinstated, but at the same time announced that he would step down as a producer after the end of season 14.

The colored actress Indra Ové stood in front of the camera for the first time in 2008 in the episode Kind des Todes (Left for Dead) , and the figure was portrayed in flashbacks by a black girl.
