Glasgow Rangers
On April 14, 2004 Adam made his league debut for the Rangers against Livingston FC , but could not convince and remained a substitute. He played again at the beginning of the 2004/05 season, but was loaned to Ross County in the Scottish Second Division for the remainder of the season . When he returned, he was awarded the following year to FC St. Mirren , who were playing in the second division at the time and were promoted to the Scottish first division that year .
When he returned to the Rangers, he was able to assert himself in the position of left midfielder and was henceforth part of the team. Adam scored his first goal for his employer in the 3-2 win over AS Livorno on October 19, 2006. He scored 13 more goals that season, including an important free-kick against arch-rivals Celtic Glasgow . In April 2006 he was voted the best young player of the Glasgow Rangers of the year through a vote of numerous fans of the club.

Charlie Adam (43 games / 16 goals) was voted into the PFA Team of the Year of the second division at the end of the season because of his above-average performance . Adam (35 games / 12 goals) also performed well in the 2010/11 Premier League , but this did not prevent his team from being relegated directly at the end of the season.
Liverpool FC
