Christian Scheffler (born March 29, 1972 in Hamburg ) is a German handball player .

Scheffler, who came up with the shirt number 13, mostly played on the left wing . In his youth Scheffler started playing handball at Niendorfer TSV . In his youth he moved to TSV Ellerbek . He started his active career in 1991 at THW Kiel in the handball Bundesliga . After twelve years at THW Kiel, he has been ending his career with the SV Kiel police force since 2003 .

During his time as a Bundesliga player, he scored 935 goals in a total of 318 Bundesliga games, 4 of them by seven meters . For the German national team , with which he took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , Scheffler played 49 international A matches in which he scored 107 goals.

Scheffler is a real estate and housing businessman by profession. He is married to Anja, with whom he has two sons.

Christian Scheffler is currently the coach of the male D1 at TSV Kronshagen .
