Christine Urspruch
Christine Urspruch (born September 16, 1970 in Remscheid , also ChrisTine Urspruch in self-chosen spelling ) is a German actress . She is a successful stage actress and became known to a wide audience through her roles in the Sams films and Tatort .
Career
Christine Urspruch grew up in Remscheid with two older sisters and attended the Röntgen Gymnasium in Remscheid-Lennep . After graduating from high school, she first studied German and English to become a teacher. She became a member of the theater group "Bread and Games", which was followed by her first engagements at the Bonn Theater . There she played "Ophelia" in Hamlet . She continued her career as a theater actress. a. continued with engagements at Volksbühne Berlin , Staatstheater Wiesbaden , Tanztheater Basel, Residenztheater Munich and Landestheater Bregenz. She was a member of the ensemble at the Volkstheater Wien , where she premiered in September 2012 as “Die kleine Frau” in Peter Turrini's folk play Der Riese von Steinfeld .
She had her first film engagement in the short film Independent (1998). Through the role of " Sams " in the films Das Sams (2001), Sams in Danger (2003) and Sams in Luck (2012), she gained greater fame. Since 2002 she has regularly played the role of forensic doctor “Silke Haller”, known as “ Alberich ”, in the Münster episodes of the ARD television series Tatort around Thiel and Boerne . Since 2003 she can be heard as a narrator in several audio books at the Children's University . In October 2009 she took over the guest moderation of the WDR television show west.art .
From 2014 to 2019 she played the main role of the pediatrician “Dr. Klein ”in the ZDF series of the same name . Christine Urspruch is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) .
Since 2009, Urspruch has been giving readings with saxophonist Christian Segmehl.
The actress prefers the spelling "ChrisTine" for her own first name, it is a "playful interaction between small and large". A striking feature is their short stature , they are 1.32 m tall.
Private
Urspruch lives in Wangen in the Allgäu . From 2000 to 2004 she was married to the actor and author Frank Dukowski . In 2007, Urspruch married the theater director Tobias Materna (* 1971) for the second time. She has a daughter (* 2004). The couple had met at the Bonn theater during a production of Hamlet . Christine Urspruch has lived separately since 2014.
