Christoph Kobald (born August 18, 1997 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Kobald started his career at SC Perchtoldsdorf . In 2006 he moved to VfB Admira Wacker Mödling . In 2007 he joined the youth team at FK Austria Wien . After he had previously run through various youth teams, he moved up to the amateur squad in the summer of 2015.

He made his regional league debut in August 2015 when he started against First Vienna FC on matchday three of the 2015/16 season .

In March 2016 he moved to SC Ritzing . After the Burgenlanders withdrew from the regional league, he moved to the second division club SC Wiener Neustadt for the 2017/18 season . In July 2017, he made his debut in the second division when he was in the starting line-up against SV Ried on the first day of that season .

After the 2017/18 season he left Wiener Neustadt and moved to Germany to the third division club Karlsruher SC , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021. He played his first competitive game for Karlsruhe in a 3-2 home win against TSV 1860 Munich on November 25, 2018, the 15th matchday, when he came on for Janis Hanek in the 74th minute . He scored his first professional goal for Karlsruhe when he scored 2-1 in the 68th minute of the game in the 3-1 home win against SV Meppen on April 20, 2019, the 34th matchday. In total, Kobald came to 13 season appearances and at the end of the season rose to the second division with KSC.
