David Pisot (born July 6, 1987 in Karlsruhe ) is a German soccer player who currently plays for Karlsruher SC .

Career

In his youth, Pisot played at FC Rot, SV Sandhausen , Karlsruher SC and, since July 2003, at VfB Stuttgart . There he was German champion in 2004 with the U-18 and 2005 with the U-19. From October 2006 he played for the second team and quickly became a regular. In October 2007, Pisot was promoted to the professional team by Armin Veh , the head coach of the first team, due to personnel worries on the defensive. He made his Bundesliga debut on October 20, 2007 against Hamburger SV , when he was on the starting line-up.

In November 2007 Pisot signed a licensed player contract dated until 2009 with VfB. On January 24, 2008, Pisot was awarded to SC Paderborn 07 until the end of June 2008 . After his return from Paderborn, Pisot played for the second team of VfB Stuttgart for another year. For the 2009/10 season he moved to the second division club FC Ingolstadt 04 , for which he played a total of 76 games in which he scored three goals. In May 2012, Pisot dissolved his contract, which originally ran until 2013, and moved to the third division for VfL Osnabrück . In April 2014, Pisot signed a new three-year contract with VfL that ran until June 30, 2017. He dissolved this in August 2016 and moved to the second division club Würzburger Kickers , where he signed a contract until 2018. With Würzburg he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2016, but relegated again at the end of the season.

After the Würzburg team was relegated to the third division at the end of the 2016/17 season, he moved to the relegated Karlsruher SC free of charge, where he signed a contract until the end of June 2019. He played his first competitive game for Karlsruhe on July 21, 2017, the first matchday of the 2017/18 season, in a 2-2 draw against VfL Osnabrück. Pisot developed alongside Daniel Gordon to one of the two regular defenders and led the team in most of the games as captain on the field in the first half of the season. He completed every league game this season and reached the promotion relegation with the KSC at the end of the season, but in which one failed at FC Erzgebirge Aue . In the following season 2018/19 Pisot did not miss a single second of the league games and led the KSC as regular defender and captain to promotion to the Second Bundesliga.
