Sven Tobias Müller (born February 16, 1996 in Cologne ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . He has been under contract with Karlsruher SC since the 2018/19 season .

Career

society

In 2004, Müller moved from SC West Cologne to the youth team at 1. FC Cologne . After he had run through the U-17 and U-19 teams there, he joined the Cologne team in 2014 in the Regionalliga West . In March 2016, Müller signed a professional contract and became the third goalkeeper of the Cologne first division team for the 2016/17 season . Because Timo Horn was unavailable due to being relegated to the 2016 Olympic Games and Thomas Kessler due to an injury, Müller made his debut on August 20, 2016 in the first round of the DFB Cup in a 7-0 win against BFC Preussen . On the second match day of the 2016/17 season he also made his Bundesliga debut in a 0-0 draw against VfL Wolfsburg .

For the 2018/19 season , Müller joined the third division club Karlsruher SC as a substitute goalkeeper . He played his first competitive game for Karlsruhe when he came on as a substitute for the injured goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff in a 0-0 draw against Sportfreunde Lotte on February 23, 2019, the 25th matchday . There was another assignment for Karlsruhe this season, at the end of which Müller and KSC were promoted to the second division, although Müller himself was no longer available towards the end due to persistent intervertebral disc problems. After the complaints reappeared in the preparation phase for the 2019/20 season, Müller underwent an operation.

National team

In addition, Müller completed a U-15 international match . That was the 2-0 win against Poland on November 11, 2010.
