Christoph Tiemann (* 4. December 1977 in Dortmund ) is a German actor , comedian , author and radio - Moderator . He lives and works in Münster .

Christoph Tiemann grew up in Selm . After doing community service, Tiemann studied in Münster from 1998. During his studies he wrote and moderated for the campus radio Radio Q of the cities of Münster and Steinfurt and was a member of various student theater groups.

Tiemann's career at WDR began in 2003 as a freelancer for 1LIVE . Here he was already an author for the comedy editorial team and in 2004 radio play speaker for the interactive live radio play crime thriller Eins Live Dekoder . Since 2004 he has been working continuously as an author and speaker for the weekly satirical programs WDR 2 Addition and Fun 5 and Satire Deluxe . Since 2016 he has also been part of the group of moderators.

Between 2007 and 2008 he produced the W-Team video podcast for the WAZ media group . Tiemann also produced the short radio play Mutabor in 2008 , which was nominated for the radio play prize Premiere in the net at the ARD radio play days in the same year .

In WDR 5 radio Tiemann with his weekly column Tiemanns word braid since 2009 to broadcast in which he entertaining explains the origin of idioms and proverbs. In 2009, Tiemann and Urs von Wulfen founded Cubarett, the first open cabaret stage in Münster. In February 2016, the series was discontinued with the 50th edition.

Tiemann has been on stage as host and moderator for the Science Slam Münster since 2010.

He went on tour with his first solo cabaret program Kabarettverbot in 2010 and was awarded the Reinheimer Satirelöwen in 2011 and the Scharfe Barte cabaret prize of the city of Melsungen in 2013 . His second solo Now it's getting usually premiered in 2013. In 2015 Tiemann won the jury award Der Goldene Rottweiler and in the same year the jury and audience award of the Rösrath cabaret festival. In 2016 he took second place in the cabaret prize Das Schwarze Schaf . The title of his third solo cabaret is aggressive and premiered on November 11, 2016.

Tiemann first appeared in 2003 as the author of mostly satirical plays. The football comedy "Othello - Away from Africa" ​​transfers the timeless classic material of the jealous drama "Othello" into today's football milieu. In 2006, "The All Ameriken Doctor Novel" was followed by a critical examination of our image of the USA.

Tiemann wrote the retrofuturistical "Mondraketenmassaker" for the 15th project of the Münster Youth Theater Orchestra. The "lustful and parodic return trip to a past future vision" with the music of Stéphane Fromageot was premiered in April 2015 at the Münster Theater. Also in 2015, Tiemann created a theatrical version of the "Mars Chronicles" based on Ray Bradbury , staged by Alban Renz and performed with " Cactus Young Theater ".

In 2016 Christoph Tiemann was honored with the economic and cultural promotion award of his hometown Selm .

In 2018 Tiemann founded the cabaret trio "3Uneinigkeit" together with Markus von Hagen and Urs von Wulfen . The first program "Search for Peace - Offer Zoff!" takes up the motto of the 101st German Catholic Day in Münster and was premiered there.

Tiemann is considered a spoken word artist and has been producing a wide variety of readings and live radio plays since 2006. One of the first is the reading series Die drei ???, initiated in 2010. . Together with his ensemble, he produced and performed over 100 staged readings of the 25 classic cases up to 2016. In contrast to the radio play, the ensemble reads directly from the books in distributed roles. The performances are accompanied by an improvisation musician and dramaturgically coordinated scenes are added.

With the same concept, "Christoph Tiemann & das Theater ex libris" have been bringing other literary classics such as The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes , Dracula by Bram Stoker and Charles Dickens' Christmas story to the stage as live multimedia radio plays since 2017 .

The basis is the original texts of the authors, which Tiemann edited and partially rearranged for the live productions. In the first Sherlock Holmes program, "A Study in Sherlock", parts of the first Holmes novel " A Study in Scarlet " with the short stories "A Scandal in the Principality of O." and "The Fleckte Band" reconnected to a literary evening. The accompanying image projection is designed by Tiemann himself, for which he also travels to the original locations. The sound effects are created by both the musician and the speakers themselves. In the stories set in the Victorian era , the ensemble appears in appropriate costumes.

In addition to the independent productions, Tiemann created a literary evening for the International Men’s Day 2019 for the Office for Equal Opportunities of the City of Münster and performed it in the town hall festival hall.
