Christopher Michael Cardone

Christopher Michael Cardone OP (born December 20, 1957 in Brooklyn ) is an American religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Honiara .

Life

Christopher Michael Cardone joined the religious order of the Dominicans in, put on 15 August 1981, the profession , and received on 30 May 1986, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 27, 2001 auxiliary bishop in Gizo and titular bishop of Thuburnica . The Bishop of Gizo, Bernard Cyril O'Grady OP, donated him episcopal ordination on June 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Brian James Barnes OFM , Archbishop of Port Moresby , and Eusebius John Crawford OP, Former Bishop of Gizo.

On October 19, 2004, he was appointed Bishop of Auki .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Honiara on June 22, 2016 . The inauguration took place on September 10th of the same year.
