Christopher Lee Pettiet (born February 12, 1976 in Dallas , Texas , † April 12, 2000 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film actor and athlete .

Career

His most famous feature film is the comedy " Fast Food Family ", produced in 1991, starring Christina Applegate and David Duchovny , among others . He received the Young Artist Award for his portrayal of Zach . Another well-known production with him was the 1991 thriller " Dangerous Surf " (with Keanu Reeves , Patrick Swayze, among others ). He also starred alongside Famke Janssen in the 1994 thriller The Sunset Killer 4 .

Pettiet's private friends included Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio . Christopher Pettiet - just 24 years old - died in April 2000 of a drug overdose . His ashes were scattered in the Pacific near Santa Monica .
