Christopher Vogt (born January 4, 1984 in Bad Oldesloe ) is a German politician ( FDP ). Vogt is a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament and has been chairman of the FDP parliamentary group there since December 2017.

Life and work

Vogt attended the Lauenburg School of Academics in Ratzeburg . After graduation in 2003 Christopher Vogt did his community service in Lübeck and began 2004 a study including the political science , the public law and economics at the University of Kiel . From 2006, Vogt began a dual study of industrial engineering in Kiel, which he successfully completed in 2009. From 2008 to 2009 he worked for a medium-sized company as a project manager and quality management officer. Vogt is married and has two daughters.

Political party

Vogt joined the FDP youth organization Junge Liberale in 2001 . Since 2002 he has also been a member of the FDP. Among the Young Liberals, Vogt was, among other things, chairman of the association in the Duchy of Lauenburg , assessor in the state board and from 2005 to 2008 state chairman in Schleswig-Holstein and thus a member of the extended federal board.

From 2003 to 2005 he was a member of the district executive committee of the FDP in the Duchy of Lauenburg for the first time. From 2013 to 2017 he was district chairman of his party in the Duchy of Lauenburg. Vogt has been a member of the FDP regional executive committee since 2005, and has been deputy regional chairman since 2011. As in the state elections in 2012, Vogt again headed the program commission of his party for the state elections in 2017.

In the Schleswig-Holstein local elections in 2003 and 2008, Vogt ran in constituency 18 (Nusse-Sandesneben and Nusse-Sandesneben II) and in 2013 and 2018 in constituency 17 (Sandesneben-Nusse II) for his party for the district council in the Duchy of Lauenburg. In 2013 and 2018 he ran for his party for the local council in his place of residence Nusse, where he only narrowly missed a direct mandate.

MP

In the state elections in 2009 , Vogt ran for constituency 38 ( Lauenburg-Nord ) and received 11.2% of the first votes. He moved into the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament via position 6 on the state list of his party . In the 17th electoral term, Vogt was his parliamentary group's spokesman for economic, labor market and youth policy, as well as a member of the economic committee and the social committee, of which he was also chairman.

In the state election in 2012 came Vogt as in 2009 as FDP Direct candidate in the constituency Lauenburg-Nord and as the leading candidate of the Young Liberals. He received 4.3% of the first votes and moved back into the state parliament via number 5 on the FDP state list. For the 18th electoral term, Vogt was elected chairman of the economic committee and acted as a specialist spokesman for his group for economic, transport, labor market, youth, and university and science policy as well as deputy group chairman.

Vogt was a member of the 16th Federal Assembly , which took place on February 12, 2017 in the Reichstag building in Berlin .

In the 2017 state elections , Vogt was again elected to the state parliament via the FDP state list (this time in fourth place). In the constituency of Lauenburg-Nord, he was able to unite 7.7% of the first votes this time. The parliamentary group then re-elected him as deputy chairman of the parliamentary group and then as parliamentary manager at the end of June 2017. Vogt was initially the spokesman for his parliamentary group for economic, transport, labor market, science and university policy and a member of the economic committee, of which he was also deputy chairman.

On December 14, 2017, he was elected parliamentary group leader because the previous incumbent Wolfgang Kubicki gave up his mandate in the state parliament in favor of a parliamentary mandate. Vogt is also the spokesman for his parliamentary group for science and university policy.
