Cid Rim (also CD_RM , actually: Clemens Bacher; * 1985 ) is an Austrian drummer and music producer.

Live and act

Bacher grew up in the 7th district of Vienna . His father, who played the trumpet in a jazz band, brought him to music at an early age and learned the piano at the age of six and drums at the age of 14. After graduating from the Kundmanngasse high school , he studied jazz drums at the Vienna Conservatory . At the same time, he played in the early 2000s with his school friends Dorian Concept and The Clonious in the funk band JSBL . With both he belonged to the Viennese music label Affine Records , with which he is still associated.

In 2010, Cid Rim released his first EP, Full Nelson . Two years later the Scottish label LuckyMe signed him, with whom he released the "mini-album" Cid Rim in 2012 . He also appeared with remixes for Chvrches and Darwin Deez , among others , and as producer of Theophilus London's Vibes album . In 2013 and 2016 he performed at Waves Vienna and in 2015 at the Viennese festivals ImPulsTanz and Popfest . In October 2017 he released his debut album Material .

At the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2014 , 2015 , 2018 and 2019, Cid Rim was one of the 20 artists nominated for the FM4 Award by the editorial team of radio station FM4 . He doesn't assign himself to a fixed genre. The music magazine The Gap described his music as a “mixture of funk, jazz, hip-hop and UK bass”, while the Internet portal Music Austria describes his first album as a union of “club elements with a jazzy influence”.
