Cilka Sadar (born September 18, 1991 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian snowboarder . She starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Sadar, who competes for the SD Nič Lažjega, has been taking part in FIS competitions and the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour since 2007 . She drove her first FIS World Cup race in September 2007 in Cardrona , which she finished in 17th place on the halfpipe. At the 2009 World Snowboard Championships in Gangwon-do , she came tenth on the halfpipe. In the 2009/10 season she achieved her first podium places on the World Snowboard Tour with third place in slopestyle at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam 2010 in Schladming and second place on the halfpipe at O'Neill Evolution 2010 in Davos . She finished the season in ninth place in the overall tour standings. In her first Olympic participation in 2010 in Vancouver , she achieved 17th place on the halfpipe. In August 2010 she won gold on the halfpipe at the Snowboard Junior World Championships in Cardrona . At the beginning of the 2010/11 season she achieved fifth place in Saas-Fee, her best result so far in an FIS World Cup race. This was followed by two second places on the halfpipe at the O'Neill Evolution 2011 in Davos and at the Burton Canadian Open Snowboarding Championships 2011 in Calgary . At the Snowboard World Championships 2011 in La Molina , she achieved 31st place on the halfpipe. In February 2011 she won the Nescafé Champs in Leysin in slopestyle. She finished the season in fourth place in the overall tour standings. In the following season she achieved several top ten placements on the World Snowboard Tour, including a podium finish with second place in slopestyle at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam 2012 in Schladming. At the Snowboard World Championships 2012 in Oslo , she finished 38th in slopestyle and fifth on the halfpipe. In March 2012 she took eighth place on the halfpipe at the Winter X Games Europe 2012 in Tignes . She finished the season in first place in the overall tour standings. In the following season she achieved 12th place in the FIS Freestyle overall ranking and fourth place in the overall tour ranking. At the 2013 Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham , she came 17th on the halfpipe and 11th in slopestyle. Due to a knee injury during training before the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she was unable to compete in any of the games. In January 2015 she reached the 31st place in the slopestyle and the 16th place on the halfpipe at the Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg .
