Šárka Pančochová ([ ˈʃaːrka ˈpantʃoxovaː ]; born November 1, 1990 in Uherské Hradiště , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech snowboarder . She starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Pančochová has participated in the FIS World Cup and the TTR World Snowboard Tour since 2007 . She drove her first World Cup race in November 2007 in Saas Fee , which she finished in 24th place on the halfpipe. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2008 in Valmalenco she won gold in the Big Air competition. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season, she won in slopestyle at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in Schladming . At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon , she came ninth on the halfpipe. In January 2010 she won her first World Cup victory on the halfpipe at Kreischberg . In the same month, she finished third in the Slopestyle at the Burton European Open in Laax . At the following Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , she achieved 14th place on the halfpipe. She finished the season in third place in the World Snowboard Tour overall ranking. In January 2011 she reached second place in the Slopestyle at the O'Neill Evolution in Davos . At the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina, she won her first major adult medal when she won the silver medal in slopestyle. In the 2011/12 season she took third place in the Slopestyle at the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in Schladming and at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge . At the Snowboard World Championships in Oslo in 2012 , she came 12th in Slopestyle. In January 2013 she won silver in slopestyle at the Winter X Games . At the 2013 Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham , she came 11th on the halfpipe. At the Evropsky Snowboardovy Festival in Klínovec and at the Supergirl Snow Pro in Breckenridge , she won in slopestyle. She finished the season in first place in the Tourlopestyle ranking and first place in the overall Tour ranking. At the beginning of the following season, she won the US Snowboarding Grand Prix (was also a World Cup race) in Copper Mountain in slopestyle. She qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , Russia , where she reached the final in slopestyle. She won her first run, but had a hard crash on the second run, but was then able to reach the finish area on her own. She came in fifth in the end. She finished 16th on the halfpipe. At the end of the season she won her third World Cup victory in Slopestyle at Kreischberg and came second in Slopestyle at the Community Cup in Keystone . She finished the season in first place in the FIS Slopestyle ranking and first place in the FIS Freestyle overall ranking. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg, she reached 13th place on the halfpipe. In the 2015/16 World Cup season she came in four participations, three times in the top ten including third place in the slopestyle in Špindlerův Mlýn . She achieved tenth place in the Freestyle World Cup and the Slopestyle World Cup and seventh place in the Big Air World Cup. In December 2016 he took third place in Big Air in Milan and in March 2018 in slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi . At the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in the Sierra Nevada , she came in 30th place in the halfpipe, 24th in slopestyle and 17th in Big Air. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished 19th. Place in Big Air and 16th place in Slopestyle. The following year she became Czech champion in Slopestyle and took 21st place in Slopestyle and 15th in Big Air at the World Championships in Park City .

In 2017 Pančochová came out as homosexual.
