Cláudio Adalberto Adão , called Cláudio Adão , (born July 22, 1955 in Volta Redonda , RJ ) is a former Brazilian national soccer player and coach. In his career he won various national and international championships.

He was trained in the youth division of FC Santos and recommended there by Pele for the professional squad. Adão claims that he has scored 862 goals in his career.

After his active career, Adão was active as a coach. His last stop was the Mixto EC .

National team

Adão made his debut for the national team in 1975. In preparation for the Pan American Games in Mexico in 1975 , the selection of Brazil played on September 6, 1975 a friendly against São Paulo FC . In the game he was in the starting line-up. The first time he appeared at the Pan American Games in an official international match. This denied Adão on October 14, 1975 against the selection of Costa Rica. Overall, he was in the tournament in six games and scored ten goals, four of them in a game against Bolivia. Including the decisive penalty for the 1-1 draw in the final.

1976 Adão still denied the selection of the games for the qualification for the Olympic Summer Games 1976. In the competition itself he could not take part because of an injury.
