Classic albums
Classic Albums is a TV documentary series about the making of popular rock and pop albums. Usually these are the most successful productions by successful bands or individual artists.
The TV series was developed and produced by the American company Isis / Eagle Rock Entertainment and was broadcast worldwide ( BBC , ITV , VH1 , VH1 Classic etc.). The individual documents are also available on DVD .
The music and its production is broken down into its individual parts, as the musicians and producers often listen to and describe the original recordings for each individually recorded track. They often tell how the individual tracks and pieces were developed during production. Personal stories between band members are only brought up if they are related to the development of the music. The TV episodes are on average 50 minutes long, but the DVD versions are often longer and contain significantly more material. All productions were created in collaboration with the respective artists.
