Claus Strunz (born September 29, 1966 in Münchberg / Upper Franconia ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

After graduating from high school in Bayreuth , Strunz volunteered at the North Bavarian Courier . He then studied political science , German studies and media law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1989 to 1994 . At the Münchner Abendzeitung he became editor and head of the news department.

Strunz was deputy editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Die Welt and, from October 2000, editor-in-chief of Bild am Sonntag , the Sunday edition of the Bild newspaper , which he left on August 1, 2008. From October 2008 to mid-2011, Strunz was editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Abendblatt . Since then he has headed the TV and video productions division at Axel Springer , which was created especially for him.

Since 2009 he has been a regular guest lecturer at the European Media and Business Academy .

Strunz appeared on television as the moderator of the discussion program Was allow Strunz !?
