Crauschwitz is a district of the municipality of Molauer Land in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
Crauschwitz is located on the Molauer Platte near the northern border of Thuringia and the places Schinditz and Döbrichau . Overturned arable soils are in the corridor. The federal highway 88 leads directly past the district to the west.
history
The village was first mentioned on July 23, 1281. The place belonged to the Wettin office of Camburg , which was under the sovereignty of various Ernestine duchies due to several divisions in the course of its existence . In 1826, the place came as part of the Camburg exclave from the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg to the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen . From 1922 to 1939 the place belonged to the Camburg district department .
During the territorial reform of 1952 in the GDR , the place came from the disbanded district of Jena to the district of Naumburg in the district of Halle , whereby its membership in Thuringia ceased. On January 1, 1956, Kleingestewitz was incorporated into Crauschwitz. Crauschwitz was incorporated into Leislau on July 1, 1961 , which in turn merged on January 1, 2010 with the previously independent communities Casekirchen , Abtlöbnitz and Molau to form the new community of Molauer Land.
