Kleingestewitz is a district of the municipality of Molauer Land in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

Kleingestewitz is located north of the Crauschwitz district near the northern border of Thuringia on the Molauer Platte near Schinditz and Altlöbnitz . The federal highway 88 leads directly past the district to the west. Overturned arable soils are in the corridor and are offshoots of the Leipzig lowland bay .

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1350. The place belonged to the Wettin office of Camburg , which was under the sovereignty of various Ernestine duchies due to several divisions in the course of its existence . In 1826, the place came as part of the Camburg exclave from the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg to the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen . From 1922 to 1939 the place belonged to the Camburg district department .

During the territorial reform of 1952 in the GDR , the place came from the disbanded district of Jena to the district of Naumburg in the district of Halle , whereby its membership in Thuringia ceased. On January 1, 1956, the village was incorporated into Crauschwitz , with which it later came to Leislau and the municipality of Molauer Land.
