Crisis? What Crisis? (German: Crisis? Which crisis? ) is the fourth studio album by the British pop / rock band Supertramp . As with the previous album Crime of the Century (1974), the group acted in their classic lineup when the album was recorded - for the second time in the band's career. It was released in 1975 and was quite successful.

description

For the inclusion on the LP Crisis? What Crisis? The now successful Supertramp came together (for the second time) in their successful line-up: Rick Davies (keyboards, vocals), John Helliwell (wind instruments, vocals), Roger Hodgson (guitars, keyboards, vocals), Bob Siebenberg (drums, percussion) and Dougie Thomson (bass). The group was still active as a quintet . The orchestra was conducted (again) by Richard Hewson.

The band was under a lot of pressure during the production of the album, fearing that Crisis? What Crisis? would be measured by the success of the previous album Crime of the Century . For this reason - as with this LP - the successful producer Ken Scott was chosen again , who produced the album together with the band.

All songs were composed and written by Davies and Hodgson, who each sang their own works. The group had already played four of the ten songs on the album ( Sister Moonshine , Another Man's Woman , which is still part of the concert program, Lady and Just a Normal Day ) in their shows before the album was released.

The album name -  Crisis? What Crisis?  - is a quote from the film The Jackal (Thriller 1973) by Fred Zinnemann .

With a few songs from the album Crisis? What Crisis? and those from the previous album Crime of the Century in their luggage, the band went on tour in 1975 / '76, but from which (for the time being) no live album emerged; but in 2001 the special edition Is Everybody Listening? as a live album. Almost 1½ years after the crisis? What Crisis? the studio album Even in the Quietest Moments… was released.
