The Ludwig Fresenius Schools (formerly DIE SCHULE for Professions with a Future ) are state-recognized private vocational schools . They offer training and further education in health and social services as well as in the fields of laboratory, business and technology. They are represented throughout Germany by more than 100 vocational schools in over 30 cities.
Companies
In 1979 the first medical training center opened in Marburg with training in nursing , occupational therapy , physiotherapy and speech therapy . Marburg was followed by other school locations in Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein and Rhineland-Palatinate, and from 1991 after reunification also in Thuringia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Berlin. In 1996 the school boards IFBE med. GmbH, IFBA acc. GmbH and IFBE training center acc. GmbH to the corporate group The school for professions with a future together. From 2011 the IFBE med. Ruhr GmbH. In 2013, The School for Professions with a Future took over the Dr. W. Blindow and the Westphalia Academy.
In November 2016, the nationwide renaming of the corporate group The School for Professions with a Future in Ludwig Fresenius Schools , combined with a new branding. The sponsoring companies were also renamed accordingly. It is named after Ludwig Fresenius, honorary president of the Hochschule Fresenius and main shareholder of Cognos AG .
As part of Cognos AG, the Ludwig Fresenius Schools belong to a network of vocational schools, universities and further education institutions. Sister companies of the Ludwig Fresenius Schools include the Hochschule Fresenius, the Carl Remigius Medical School , the LUNEX University, mentor advanced training and the thalamus alternative practitioner schools .
Accreditation and Certifications
The Ludwig Fresenius schools are audited annually by an independent certification body in terms of quality management. They are certified according to the internationally recognized quality standards DIN EN ISO 9001 , ISO 29990 and AZAV .
With a few exceptions, all vocational schools for occupational therapy at the Ludwig Fresenius Schools meet the training standards of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists and are certified accordingly. A completed WFOT-recognized training enables you to work as an occupational therapist abroad.

Training
The Ludwig Fresenius Schools provide training in the areas of therapy and wellness, nursing and pedagogy, medicine and laboratories, and business. The school-based training ends with a state-recognized professional qualification. Depending on the department and location, it is possible to acquire subject-related additional qualifications as well as the school-based part of the technical college entrance qualification during the training. Advanced and advanced training
In addition to training, the Ludwig Fresenius schools also offer advanced training in the fields of technology, business administration, and health and social issues. The portfolio also includes the area of vocational training with language courses, labor market services and coaching to integrate those in need of support into the German labor market. At many of the Ludwig Fresenius Schools' locations, the sister company Mentor Advanced Training also conducts advanced and advanced training courses for therapists.
Education
In Frankfurt am Main and Munich, the Ludwig Fresenius schools, in cooperation with the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, conduct a dual physiotherapy course that integrates training. Training and studies are linked with one another. After passing the exam, graduates receive a professional license as a physiotherapist and a Bachelor of Science degree .
Basic and postgraduate courses in the fields of health and social affairs are offered full-time or part-time at the sister companies Hochschule Fresenius and Carl Remigius Medical School.
