Daniel Scharner (born February 26, 1997 in Purgstall an der Erlauf ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Scharner began his career at SVg Purgstall . In 2011 he switched to the youth team at SG Waidhofen / Ybbs . In 2013 he moved to the fourth-class SV Gaflenz . In August 2013 he made his debut in the national league when he came on as a substitute for Neven Špiranac on the 15th matchday of the 2013/14 season against SV Leobendorf in the 65th minute. He scored his first goal for Gaflenz in September 2013 in a 2-1 win against ASK Bad Vöslau .

For the 2015/16 season, Scharner moved to the regional division SKU Amstetten . He played his first game in the regional league in July 2015 when he was brought into play for Milan Vuković in the 81st minute against ASK Ebreichsdorf on the first day of that season . In March 2016 he scored his first goal in the regional league in a 2-1 win against SC Neusiedl am See .

In 2018 he rose to the 2nd division with Amstetten . In the 2017/18 promotion season, he played 26 games in the Regionalliga and scored three goals. He made his debut in the second-highest division in July 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against Floridsdorfer AC on matchday one of the 2018/19 season. In the game that Amstetten lost 4: 3, Scharner scored the goal to make it 4: 2.
