After 19 games in the 2016/17 season , his contract was not renewed.

He then returned to Austria and received a contract valid until June 30, 2018 with Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz at the start of the 2017/18 season . He made his competitive debut for Graz on July 16, 2017 in the 3-0 first round win in the ÖFB Cup at FC Hard with the substitution for Martin Ovenstad in the eighth minute. 14 days later he made his Bundesliga debut in a 3-2 win on matchday two in the away game against FK Austria Wien .
