Danny Davis (born June 22, 1988 in Highland, Michigan ) is an American snowboarder . He starts in the disciplines halfpipe and slopestyle .

Career

Davis has participated in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2004 . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in February 2005 at the Sungwoo Resort , which he finished in seventh place. In the 2005/06 season he took third place at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix in Breckenridge and at Mount Bachelor . At the 2006 Burton US Open at Stratton Mountain Resort , he finished second on the halfpipe. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season he won second place in slopestyle at the Abominable Snowjam on Mount Hood and third place in the halfpipe competition at the Burton New Zealand Open in Snow Park . Later in the season he won the US Snowboarding Grand Prix in Breckenridge and came second at the Nippon Open in Bandai , the World Superpipe Championships in Park City and the Burton US Open. He finished the season in fifth place in the World Snowboard Tour overall standings. In the 2008/09 season he won the Slopestyle at the Burton European Open in Laax and the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge . At the 2008 Burton Australian Open in Perisher Blue , he finished second.

The following season Davis won the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and Snowbasin . He finished the season in third place in the Winter Dew Tour half pipe rating. In February 2012 he finished second on the halfpipe at the Burton European Open in Laax . He won gold on the halfpipe at the Winter X Games 2014 and 2015 in Aspen . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he came tenth on the halfpipe. In the 2015/16 season, he finished ninth at the Winter X Games 2016 and sixth at the X Games Oslo 2016 . In March 2016 he won the US Revolution Tour in Seven Springs . He came fifth at the Winter X Games 2017 . He won the bronze medal at the Winter X Games 2019 .
