Danny Schwarz (born May 11, 1975 in Göppingen ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach . Since the end of his career he has been a youth coach at Bayern Munich .
Player career
societies
Emerging from the youth of 1. FC Eislingen , a club from the district of Göppingen, Schwarz received a licensed player contract with Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart at the age of 20 , for which he made nine appearances in his first professional season. He played his first Bundesliga game on February 24, 1996 at SC Freiburg, where he was in the starting line-up and was substituted in the 76th minute. In the following season he only came to seven missions, but also to his first goal, the 1-0 opening goal in the 2-4 defeat on May 24, 1997 at Bayern Munich . After another season he moved to the second division club Karlsruher SC , where he developed into a regular player. In 1999 he returned to the Bundesliga - with the newcomer SpVgg Unterhaching , for whom he played all 68 games in two years in the 1st Bundesliga and then - due to relegation - 30 (of 34) in the 2nd Bundesliga. For TSV 1860 Munich he completed two seasons in the 1st Bundesliga. After relegation in the 2003/04 season , he returned to Karlsruher SC. In 2006 he returned to TSV 1860 Munich, where he was team captain in 2007/08 , but had to fight injuries in the following season, which led to the loss of his regular place; his contract, which expired in summer 2009, was then not extended. On August 10, 2009, he moved to the second team of local rivals FC Bayern Munich in the third division , after having kept himself fit in training with coach Mehmet Scholl's team for a week . In his 45th third division game for Bayern, he scored his first and only goal in a league game in a 2-0 win in the away game against Hansa Rostock on November 13, 2010.
National team
Black played twice for the U21 national team , both appearances at the 1998 European Championships : On May 26th in Bucharest, he decided the placement round against host Romania with his golden goal in the 101st minute. Three days later he was in the game for fifth place in the team in a 2-1 win (also in Bucharest) against Sweden. He played three games for the A2 national team , which existed from 1999 to 2001 .
Coaching career
After his career ended in 2012, Schwarz became assistant coach for the U19 team at FC Bayern Munich , first under Marc Kienle and later under Heiko Vogel . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, he and Vogel joined the club's second team in the Regionalliga Bayern .
At the beginning of January 2016, Schwarz took over the FC Bayern Munich U16 team as head coach. After Heiko Vogel resigned as coach of the second team on March 20, 2017, he took over the team as interim coach until the end of the season. He then returned to his previous role as head coach of the U16s. In the 2019/20 season, together with former Bayern professional Martin Demichelis , he coached the U19 team, which ended the season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic as first in the table and, with Malik Tillman, provided the player with the most hits. As the successor to Miroslav Klose , who is moving to the coaching staff of the Bundesliga team , the Swabian will be responsible for the older of the two Munich B youth teams with the U17 from summer 2020.
