Dario Vidosic [ ʋidɔʃitɕ ] (born April 8, 1987 in Osijek , SR Croatia , SFR Yugoslavia ; Croatian spelling: Dario Vidošić) is an Australian football player of Croatian origin who was under contract in the Raiffeisen Super League at FC Sion until summer 2015 .
Career
The attacking midfielder and striker's family emigrated to Brisbane , Australia in 1988 . Dario comes from the football school of the Australian Institute of Sport .
From July 2006 Vidosic was part of the professional squad of Queensland Roar , where his father Rado worked as an assistant coach.
In March 2007, the offensive talent completed a trial training at 1. FC Nürnberg and knew how to convince there. For the 2007/08 season Vidosic moved to the club , where he signed a three-year contract. The 20-year-old completed most of his missions in his first season for the Franconian league team, but he also made four short appearances in the 1st Bundesliga. At the end of the 2007/08 season, the 1st team of 1. FC Nürnberg was relegated to the 2nd division. In the first half of the 2008/09 season , Vidosic came back only to three short missions. During the winter break he should therefore be loaned to the Danish first division club Esbjerg fB , which only failed at the last moment. A short time later, its shape increased. On March 23, 2009, he scored his first goal in a competitive game for the club's first team. With this 1-0 winning goal against leaders SC Freiburg , he became the match winner. On May 3, he started the home game against FC Ingolstadt 04 for the first time and again scored the only goal of the game. A week later he met in the Frankenderby against SpVgg Greuther Fürth for the interim lead, the final score was 1: 1. He had made a total of eleven missions by the end of the season, and was also substituted on in the relegation first leg.
In the first half of the following Bundesliga season , he came up with nine missions. Nevertheless, he was loaned to MSV Duisburg on January 19, 2010 until the end of the season. He said: "I want to keep my chances at the World Cup by moving and I want to recommend myself with regular appearances at MSV." On January 25, 2010, the first match in the second half of the season, he made his first appearance for Meidericher through a substitution. On matchday 32, he scored his first goal in a home defeat against SC Paderborn 07 . After Vidosic was only a reservist in the first half of the 2010/11 season and only made five appearances, he was loaned to the second division Arminia Bielefeld for the second half . For the 2011/12 season he returned to the Australian A-League and joined Adelaide United . There was a club change in the 2013/14 season when Vidosic once again made the leap to Europe and found a new employer in FC Sion .
After his time in Sion , he moved back and forth a few times within Australia and Asia , where he made a total of 84 appearances in the respective leagues, in which he was able to score 17 goals.
