The House of Evil (Original Title: La dolce casa degli orrori ) is an Italian horror film produced for television by director Lucio Fulci from 1989.
action
At night, a well-to-do couple surprises a burglar, who then goes into a rage and murders the couple. The perpetrator, a former gardener in the family, then covers his tracks; the man also makes the murders look like an accident.
The deceased's two underage children, Sarah and Marco, were handed over to the care of relatives a few days later. The new foster parents Marcia and Carlo then move into the house of the teenage orphans . From now on they want to enable the little ones to live a carefree life. A little later, the first, sometimes surreal, events occur. Marcia, the children's aunt, immediately feels uncomfortable. She urges her husband Carlo to sell the property, although he admonishes his loved one to be prudent. Nevertheless, he subsequently tries to sell the house. In the meantime, their parents appear to the children as ghosts. These cause the descendants to sabotage the possible house sale by all means.
In an open end, an exorcist succeeds in driving the apparitions out of the house, although they take refuge in a stone-like shape in order to serve their loved ones as “guardian spirits” from now on.
