The new guests of the dream ship come on board. Your trip goes to New England and Canada , the area that is known for the Indian Summer , which is presented there in a breathtaking way, an unparalleled frenzy of colors. Among them is Roland Wagner, a former top athlete in Iron Man who is paraplegic after a bicycle accident . He starts the trip accompanied by his girlfriend Caro. Wagner didn't let his handicap get him down and continues to go on daring tours with Caro, a photographer. During the course of the trip, when he tried to be the first wheelchair user to circumnavigate Mount Desert Island , an incident occurred that could have ended tragically. Roland decides to make Caro believe that their relationship is rather non-committal because he doesn't want the young woman to have a future with a disabled person. But through Captain Paulsen, who is his godfather, and Inka, he thinks about it a little later and proposes to Caro, which she refuses. Only at the end of the trip does he win the young woman back after he was able to make it clear to her that he is really willing to change his life and start a family with her.

Among the new guests is Irmgard Altmann with her son Thomas. She wants to celebrate her 65th birthday on the ship. Her younger son Klaus hired as a ship's carpenter on the Deutschland . The family owns a sawmill in the Black Forest . In the past there were always arguments between the brothers, which continues on the ship.
