action

The rather wealthy tax advisor Hugo Brinkmeyer leads his wife out to a cabaret; he would like to use it to prepare a beautiful evening for her and himself. The course of the beautifully planned evening takes an unexpected turn when Brinkmeyer meets the factory owner Schwidders, who would like to use his services as a tax advisor. However, this should be done discreetly, since Schwidders has conceived twins in an affair. He stipulates that this fact must be kept secret from his wife. Brinkmeyer's willingness to help and the mistake of his briefcase for that of a nightclub singer, however, put him under suspicion of being officially unreliable and untrue to his wife. However, everything clears up to the general satisfaction.

Reviews

"An attack on the philistine bourgeoisie - without a bite."

“The funny and touching experiences of a clumsy, correct tax advisor going astray. Comedy nullity with which Heinz Rühmann wanted to tie in with earlier box office hits. "
